Dear Birthmother,
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We want to thank you so much for considering us in this journey. We know this is a very difficult decision for you to make, and we are praying for strength for you as you make a plan for your precious baby. If you are going through this process, we know it is your heart's desire to find the best home for your child, and we both respect your decision.
We have been married since 2020 but have known each other since 2005 and are so excited about becoming parents together. After many years of trying, we have not been able to have a successful pregnancy together. Ali is Jahmal’s biological daughter and Ty’s bonus daughter. We prayed about it and felt God led us to the path of adoption. Words cannot express the excitement we have about this process. We are committed to creating a loving and nurturing environment for your baby.
We understand this may be a difficult decision for you, but please know you would be helping us grow our family, should you choose us. We both feel we have what it takes to nurture a child, and we hope that child will be yours.
About Us
We both work with children, in the areas of education and juvenile probation. Jahmal is laid back and calm, while Ty is extremely loving and nurturing, Ali, our daughter, is full of life and energy, and Max, our loving dog, wants to play. Some things we enjoy are bettering ourselves spiritually, going out to sporting events, cooking, going out to eat as a family, cleaning, talking to each other, watching TV shows and movies, relaxing, and taking trips. We both like to be positive and happy, but one of us is sillier than the other and enjoys making others smile. We like things to be organized and structured. We enjoy reading with our daughter and taking her to her activities, such as swimming and gymnastics. We also enjoy spending time with our two-year-old German shepherd, training him and taking him for long walks. We spend time with family and friends having gatherings.
Our Home
We live in a three-story townhome in Maryland. Our home has three bedrooms, two full baths, and two half baths. We have a small yard, but our community does have a small park and we are not far away from other parks and an aquatic center. The school district is very good, and one of us works in the school district. Our adopted child would receive a great education. We are close to so many malls, grocery stores, and major highways. We also have an awesome two-year-old German shepherd that likes to hang out with the family.
Our Extended Family
Jahmal is the youngest child with five sisters. Four of his sisters reside in Maryland, and the other resides in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He has a great relationship with all of his sisters. Both of Jahmal’s parents are deceased. Jahmal has a large extended family with aunts, cousins, and uncles located all over the world. Jahmal has three nephews and one niece. Two of Jahmal’s nephews have children of their own. His niece also has a child of her own.
Ty is the oldest child with a younger brother. Her brother resides in Maryland. She has a close relationship with her brother. Her father is deceased, and her mother resides in Maryland. She has a good relationship with her mother. The majority of her family (cousins, aunts, and uncles) resides within 10 to 20 minutes from each other.
Our extended family enjoys vacationing together, going to church, and coming together for holidays, birthdays, Sunday dinners, kids’ activities, or just because.
What Led Us To Adoption
TyNisha has had health issues, and while they have been resolved, she still can't carry children. That hasn’t stopped our dream of growing our family. Jahmal has a biological daughter Ali. She is very excited to become a big sister! We have multiple friends who have been supporting us through this journey of adoption because they have been through it themselves. They have shared their experiences with us and are continuing to walk through this process with us for support. They all were blessed with precious babies they are so in love with. All three of the families have expressed that they are so glad they went the adoption route and expressed how it was an amazing blessing to their family.
