RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
We are grateful you are taking time to read about us. We understand you might be going through some overwhelming emotions, periods of confusion, and other internal conflicts. Although we are not walking in your shoes, we are ready to walk beside you and your child. We are here to give our love, support, and prayers. We understand this decision might be a difficult one for you. We want to reassure you that we would give everything we have to provide for and support your child, should you choose us.
If given the gift of raising your child, we promise to help them become the best person they can possibly be, and above all else, they will always know they are loved unconditionally and forever. We would raise your child to show love and respect to everyone. Our hope is your child would be placed in our life for a reason: to provide them with opportunities, allow them to explore their creativity, and become their own individual. We have tried to build our home as a safe, secure, and relaxing place where everyone can be themselves and encourage each other to grow. It is filled with love, laughter, and all the things that make our lives feel rich and complete. Our home is a place where we sing like no one is listening and dance like no one is watching.
About Us
After both being single for many years, we finally found each other, and it was worth the wait. We dated for about a year and have now been married for six wonderful years. We balance each other out and bring out the best in each other. We love learning, laughing, spending time with family, taking beach trips, and watching sports and the occasional dramatic TV show. Tara is outgoing, kind, and selfless. Jonathan is funny, thoughtful, and likable. We both love that our jobs involve helping people. Tara is a registered nurse. Jonathan was previously a teacher and park ranger and now works as an attorney. We try our best every day to choose love to be the foundation of our family. We want our children to always be kind and to help them to reach their full potential.
Our Home
We live in a new three-bedroom, two-bath home with plenty of room to grow and with a big yard to play in. Our home is in a nice, safe neighborhood, where we are surrounded by many families and children of all ages. We are in an excellent school district and are within a few miles of restaurants and shopping centers. We also love to visit our cabin on the farm where Jonathan grew up, where we love to fish and go on adventures. We have one super sweet and playful rescue dog, Bandit, who loves to play fetch and go on walks. We love that we are surrounded by breathtaking nature, state parks, and outdoor activities.
Our Extended Family
Tara was born and raised in Arkansas. Her siblings include one adopted brother and two sisters. Tara’s father lives in Arkansas, and her mother lives in Tennessee. Family trips growing up included visits to the lake on the weekend, traveling to baseball and softball games, camping, and summer family reunions. Tara has a close relationship with her parents, seeing her father weekly and visiting her mother several times throughout the year.
Jonathan’s family is very close, and they all live within an hour and a half of our house. Jonathan is especially close with his parents and considers them his best friends after Tara. Some of the traditions he treasures with them include Christmastime bingo, annual summer vacations to baseball games and national parks, and their unwavering love and support. He is also really glad he got to experience building our cabin by hand with his father. His parents absolutely adore their grandchildren and schedule their lives in retirement around all of their grandkids’ activities. They are tremendously helpful and selfless.
What Led Us To Adoption
We first discussed the wonderful possibility of adoption when we began dating. We both were raised in a family with multiple siblings. Tara is blessed to have an adopted brother as part of her family tree. We have always known we wanted multiple children to share our love. We were fortunate to conceive and give birth to a daughter. After a couple of years, we became pregnant again, but God had other plans for our son. After 17 weeks, we lost him, and he gained his angel wings. We now feel God leading us in the direction of adoption. We are excited to open our hearts and give everything we have to a child.
