Stacy & Chris
RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
A mother is someone willing to put their child’s needs ahead of her own. We can only imagine what has brought you to this selfless decision and how difficult this is for you. Whatever your circumstances, we know you love the life growing inside you and want them to have a bright future.
We are open to having you in our lives in whatever way you feel comfortable. We understand you and your child will have a connection that will always be special. We want you, if you so choose, to be a part of our family. We want your child to know their story, and you are central to that story.
We would love the opportunity to get to know you better. We are open to answering all your questions about our life. We want you to have the information you need to help make an informed decision. Above all, we want you to have peace of mind that you have chosen the right family for your child.
We will be there for you too if you need us. We want to support you as you bring your gift into the world. We are humbled by and grateful for your consideration.
About Us
We met three years before we started dating, at a local dojo in our town; we both have black belts in martial arts. About a year later, Chris messaged Stacy and asked if she wanted to go out on New Year’s Eve. We have been together ever since. Chris works in IT and is always up for a challenge. Stacy is a special education teacher who works with children who have special needs and learning disabilities. We both enjoy fishing, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends. We enjoy traveling and meeting new people. We have friends of all different backgrounds and ethnicities. In his free time, Chris enjoys cooking, playing online games, and volunteering in the community. Stacy is a bookworm who enjoys crafting and making things. We both love a good adventure and look forward to adding a little one to tag along.
Our Home
We recently moved into our dream home. A river runs through our five acres dotted with fruit trees and grapevines. Our home is a very spacious four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath house on a quiet country road that is perfect for treehouses, swimming, and summer fun. While our house is located in the country, we live within 30 minutes of large metropolitan areas. Our local school district is one of the best in Alabama. Our district currently offers a trade school in welding and piloting as well as advanced courses for those students wanting to go to college. We also live close to the gorgeous beaches of Alabama and have the opportunity to enjoy them year around. Currently we have three rescue dogs who are big snuggle bugs.
Our Extended Family
Stacy’s family is very close, and she has a brother and sister. She loves her nieces and nephews and often spends time with them. They enjoy coming over to their house to play in the river or hang out. Her mother passed away, but she is close to her father. Every Sunday, Chris cooks a meal for the family to share at her dad’s house. This tradition has become very important since her mother died.
Regardless of what holiday it is, you will find Chris in the kitchen cooking big meals for the people he cares about. He loves nothing better than to have his wife and kids around the table eating a meal he prepared. One of his favorite traditions in our home is that the birthday girl/boy gets to choose their meal on their birthday. No request is too big or too small.
The holidays are filled with family. On Christmas Eve, Stacy’s family gathers at her father’s house to eat and open gifts. Christmas Day is for our family, and Chris cooks a big dinner. Our traditions are simple but timeless and speak of love for our family.
What Led Us To Adoption
Chris was a single father of four kids when we met. His youngest daughter has autism. At that time, we wanted to focus on our relationship as well as provide a stable environment for the children. Stacy always wanted more children, but it was not meant to be. Chris had the opportunity to adopt his youngest and understood what a gift adoption is. Stacy also recognized through her love of Chris’s children that parenthood comes in many forms. We decided adoption would be the best choice for our family to grow.
