Dear Birthmother,
We can’t imagine all the emotions you are experiencing right now. First, we want to say thank you—thank you for your courage, thank you for your love, thank you for your sacrifice, and thank you for this beautiful opportunity. We are humbled by your strength to go down this road and are beyond proud of you for the choice you are considering.
We are not parents yet and have never been in your shoes. We do believe all things can be conquered with love and faith. Not to dismiss the hard things, but love and faith give us something to hold on to in the storm. We have a lot of love to share. If chosen, we promise to love and protect this child, to laugh and play with them, to instill strong values and faith in them, and to grow with them. They will be surrounded by a village of loving, caring, and supportive family and friends.
We are here to support you, love you, pray for you, and help you in this process. You have more courage than most. We hope you can find assurance in these words and peace in knowing that we will deeply care for this child.
About Us
We met through mutual family friends in 2016 and were married in 2020. Molly is the Director of Operations for a tech company, which allows her to blend her passion for people with her aptitude for business. Molly is known for her ability to walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a room full of friends. Most of Mark’s career he’s been self-employed, specializing in remodels. In 2023 he started an irrigation company that keeps him busy in the summer, while remodels continue to fill up his winter. Mark’s unique skill set has also enabled us to have two rental properties. Mark is a family man with a strong foundation in his faith. He’s a kid at heart, known in both our family and friend circles as the fun uncle. We love to hike, fish, travel, snowboard, cook, go on new adventures, and spend time with our friends and family.
Our Home
We are lucky to call Colorado home. We live in a smaller town with an exceptional community. We enjoy volunteering with local organizations, attending town festivals and events, and hitting up the farmers market every Sunday. We live in a four-bedroom, two-bath, ranch-style home on a half-acre lot across from a beautiful lake. We have the kind of neighborhood where everyone looks out for each other, and the streets are full of kids playing. Recently, the neighborhood put on a mini triathlon for all the kiddos. It was a huge success! Forest, our four-year-old chocolate lab was born on our wedding date! Our little anniversary pup loves people, goes swimming any chance he gets, and is a neighborhood favorite.
Our Extended Family
We both come from loving families that taught us the importance of quality time together and creating traditions. Both Mark’s parents have passed, reminding us how precious time is. He has two sisters who are married with kids—a total of two nieces and two nephews. They all live relatively close. We make it a priority to get together monthly to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and life events. School plays and soccer games have recently filled our schedules.
Molly’s family lives in a small ski town about a three-hour drive away. She is the youngest of four, with two sisters and a brother. Her parents recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Her sister and brother-in-law are the proud parents of Molly’s niece (5) and nephew (6). We visit as often as we can, usually making a trip three to four times a year. They return the favor and visit us regularly as well.
We have also forged strong friendships that have turned into family. It takes a village to raise a child, and we have been blessed with the best village of loving friends and family who could not be more supportive of our adoption journey!
What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption has always been in our hearts and something we wanted to pursue. Little did we know that adopting would be our only option for growing our family. After working with a fertility specialist for several years, our doctor let us know our chances to conceive were highly unlikely. Even with medical advancements in this arena, we both suffer from fertility issues, which did not make us ideal candidates for pursuing further treatment. Because adoption was already on the table, we decided to move forward with this journey. Since sharing our adoption news, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support from our community. We were surprised by how many people we know that have a connection to adoption. Their stories have only encouraged us more!
