RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, Caucasian/Hispanic, Caucasian/Asian, Native American
Dear Birthmother,
Becoming parents is our biggest dream. A child to love, protect, and raise is the missing puzzle piece of our lives. We have so much love to give, adventures we want to have as a family, and opportunities we want to offer our future child. We are excited to learn what activities they are interested in, and we will be the loudest supporters in the stands, along with our family and friends. We look forward to dressing up as a family for Halloween, and we can’t wait for little dresses or little suits for Christmas and Easter celebrations. Our home is ready to welcome a child and give them a place to grow, love, and play. We look forward to reading bedtime stories, playing outside on a nice day, enjoying meals together, and getting to know their special and unique personality! Visiting family and friends is something we’ll enjoy together as we make lifelong memories.
We can only imagine the difficulties you have gone through to consider adoption for your baby. It’s an honor that you are spending time reading our profile and getting to know us better; we are so thankful! If you choose us, please know your child will always be loved. They will have every opportunity to have a fun and fulfilling life, and they will be adored and supported by not only us but our family and friends too. When our child is ready, they will know their adoption story and the selfless decision you made so they could have the life they deserve.
About Us
We met through eHarmony and got married in 2018 in Colorado and honeymooned in Ireland. We can’t wait to vacation as a family. Kelly has worked for a family-owned media company for 12 years as a daytime shift lead. She loves to read and bake. She especially loves baking her grandma's gingerbread cookies at Christmastime. Kelly also enjoys the outdoors, like hiking, biking, and going to local attractions. She spends even more time outdoors when she goes to Washington and spends time with friends and family. Mike is a Colorado native and loves the view of the mountains and going hiking and biking in the beautiful landscape. He works in the automotive field as a parts specialist at a local dealership and loves working on classic cars when he can. Mike also enjoys model building and going to local Comic Cons.
Our Home
Shortly after we got married, we bought a five-bedroom house in a family-oriented neighborhood. We are close to kid-friendly attractions, like the local zoo and a splash park that is open in the summer. Our house also has a playset in the backyard, perfect for those nice Colorado days we will spend outside as a family. We adopted our cat, Henry, when he was three years old from the local humane society. He loves to have a routine every day and snuggles with us while we watch TV and sleeps with us every night. In the winter, he loves to lay in front of the gas fireplace to stay warm. He's looking forward to having another human to snuggle with.
Our Extended Family
Mike's parents and sister live about twenty minutes away and will be there when needed. His parents are both retired and enjoy going for walks in their neighborhood or walking through downtown. Hosting of holidays usually alternates since we live in the same area as his parents. Mike has family mainly along the East Coast in New Jersey, which includes his uncle, aunt, and cousins.
Kelly has a younger brother who lives in Utah with his son, daughter, and wife. Kelly's mom was a registered nurse at a major hospital and then moved to working at the student health center at a big university. Her dad was a respiratory therapist at a major hospital and stayed there his whole career. They have since retired and are enjoying life as retirees and grandparents to our niece and nephew. The rest of her relatives live on mostly the East or West Coasts. Other family members are scattered throughout the country. She has six cousins, all married and most with kids.
What Led Us To Adoption
We’ve always wanted children but have been unable to have them biologically. We discussed the journey of adoption shortly after discovering this hurdle. We are excited to welcome a new baby to the family and share our family traditions and things from our own childhoods, like books, movies, and games. We picture taking our child to the park in our neighborhood, playing with other children and becoming friends, or even having them come over to our house for playdates. We are excited to find out what their favorite animal will be when they go to the zoo or their favorite activity to do outside. Imagining our future child playing in the backyard with friends brings us much happiness.
