RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
We will never know what you’re feeling or experiencing. Words alone will not fully express the depth of our gratitude, joy, and admiration for you considering an adoption plan. This decision takes courage and selflessness, and if you choose us, we will be forever grateful for it.
Should you choose us, your baby will always know what love is and that they are unconditionally loved. They will be raised with four incredible seasons in Utah and given opportunities to explore and learn about the world around them. They will be surrounded by family and friends who have been praying for and waiting to love them and experience life together. Their childhood will include faith, being outside, hikes, lakes, travel, and an encouraged imagination. We believe giving a child the chance to have open play and learning allows them to thrive and become their own person.
We wish you well in making the best decision for you and your baby and hope you find peace with that decision. We would be excited, overjoyed, grateful, and honored if you chose us for your baby. We would make every effort to make you confident in your decision to choose us as parents for your child, and they’ll always know the selfless decision you made.
About Us
We are Joshua and Kristen from Utah. We met in 2009 and were engaged in 2015 after we completed graduate school. We married the following year. Joshua is dedicated, selfless, and a forever big kid. Kristen is honest, creative, and organized, which helps our home tremendously. We moved to Utah in 2022 to pursue a new journey with our forever home. Kristen works from home, and Joshua’s practice is local, which allows us to be close. We both have good memories growing up with family time, travel, church, and being creative, and we hope the same for our future littles. We enjoy being home together, playing with our dog in the backyard, seeing movies, and experiencing the beauty that Utah has to offer.
Our Home
We live in a suburban area with great neighbors and have a community that continues to grow. We are just 30 minutes from downtown and are close to many trailheads throughout the valley. Our home is two stories with a basement and sits on a large corner, with lots of space in the backyard for play, trees, and a firepit. Although we’re in the suburbs, our community is as close to the local mountain as you can get, so our sunrises and sunsets are unobstructed and beautiful. We have one dog, a pyredoodle named Raven.
Our Extended Family
We have large extended families who have a lot of love to share. Kristen’s parents live in Arizona and are avid travelers and visitors. Her sister lives in Florida and is always happy to visit and welcome us to her home. Joshua’s brother and mother are moving to Utah and will live within 15 minutes of us, and his father and stepmother like to visit from California as well.
Joshua’s family loves to play competitive board games, cook, play music, and go on walks together. This makes for a lot of fun together, even though we currently live apart. When he was younger, he was involved in sports and church activities, and he hopes to have our children do the same.
Kristen’s family loves to cook, talk, and see the sights of new places. As a child, they would go on annual family vacations to different places and have things they’d want to see, take pictures of, and experience. We are hopeful to do the same with a little one in tow.
Between the two of us, we easily have two dozen aunts and uncles and 50+ cousins, and we grew up with large family holiday gatherings with food and games.
What Led Us To Adoption
We’ve been wanting to become parents and grow our family throughout our marriage. Unfortunately we’ve been unsuccessful having biological children. We have always believed whatever is meant for us will come at the right time. We fostered three children who were reunified with extended family. It showed us how much love we have for children and confirmed our desire to become parents. We both have family who were adopted, and we have been witness to how adoption can bring extra love to a family. Having many years together, we feel we are in a great place physically, emotionally, and financially to welcome a little one into our home, be present for them, and share our life.
