RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We know this is a challenging and emotional decision, and we want you to know how much we admire your strength and love for your child. It is an incredible act of courage to consider adoption, and we feel honored that you would take a moment to learn about us.
Adoption has always felt like it was meant to be part of our family story. After facing struggles with growing our family biologically, our hearts were opened even more to the beauty of adoption. We have always dreamed of sharing our love, joy, and families with a child, and we are filled with hope and gratitude for this journey.
If you choose us, we promise to provide your child with unconditional love, endless support, and a safe, nurturing home. They will grow up surrounded by family and friends who adore them and will be given every opportunity to thrive and pursue their dreams. We will always honor and celebrate their story, ensuring they know the deep love and strength that brought us together.
Please know we hold you and your baby in our thoughts and hearts every step of the way.
With love and gratitude,
Jon & Kelsi
About Us
We are Jon and Kelsi, and we’ve been married for six wonderful years and together for a total of 12 years. Together, we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Our family includes our sweet, spirited three-year-old daughter, Oaklyn, who is so excited to have a sibling to play with and share her big imagination. We also have two rescue dogs, Mick and Mack, who are just as excited to welcome another sibling! Jon is a safety engineer for a local construction company, and Kelsi is a professor for a local university. From the beginning of our marriage, we’ve shared a passion for spending quality time with the people we love. Whether we’re celebrating holidays with friends and family, cheering on our favorite sports teams (Go Cincinnati Bearcats, Reds, and Bengals!), or planning our next travel adventure, we enjoy life most when we’re together.
Our Home
We moved in May 2024 from our starter home in Kentucky right across the river to our forever home in Ohio. This home needed updates, but we love a fixer upper! The house may need updates, but the community, the neighborhood, the school district, and our street were the perfect fit for our family. We live within walking distance of a park and a five-minute drive to a movie theater, nature centers and trails, and indoor adventure parks for children. Our street welcomed us with open arms by including our family in Bengals watch parties, Halloween pumpkin painting, and Christmas parties! Our two dogs, Mick and Mack, love the addition of our large, fenced-in backyard, where they chase squirrel intruders.
Our Extended Family
Our extended family is a big part of our lives and brings so much love to everything we do. Both of our parents are separated, but we are incredibly fortunate that everyone is supportive and loving toward all. It is not uncommon to have all sets of grandparents in the same room. We have a large, loving family filled with grandparents, great-grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles who are all just as excited as we are to welcome a new little one. Holidays are crazy but very fulfilling as we make memories with everyone. We love family vacations, summer BBQs by the pool, and so many birthday celebrations throughout the year! We know our extended family will be an incredible source of love, joy, and encouragement for a child.
In addition to our family, we are lucky to have a great network of friends who all have kids around the same ages, who get together regularly. Our friend group gets together for sporting events, camping, and Friendsgiving. A majority of the moms are teachers and enjoy going on day adventures with the kids, like COSI, zoos, museums, Kings Island, and other local and semilocal attractions!
What Led Us To Adoption
Our journey to adoption began with a deep sense of calling three years ago, a feeling that adoption was always meant to be part of our family story. We put adoption on pause a number of times for numerous reasons, but this year it was time to accept the journey! We dreamed of growing our family biologically, but we faced challenges with getting and staying pregnant, which brought heartache but also clarity. Through those struggles, our desire to nurture and love a child grew stronger, and we realized that adoption was a beautiful path forward for us. It became clear our family could grow in ways we hadn’t initially imagined, and we feel deeply grateful and blessed to embrace this journey with open hearts.
