Dear Birthmother,
Words cannot fully express our gratitude for being considered on this journey. We cannot truly comprehend what you are experiencing, but we recognize the immense strength, courage, and selflessness required. If you decide to select us, we would share with our future child the love you have for them and the selfless decision you've made.
Should you choose us, your child will receive abundant love and support throughout their life. They will grow up in a town and on a rural farm, learning to play musical instruments, engaging in sports, and participating in activities on a hobby farm. We eagerly anticipate evenings around campfires in our yard, having BBQs with family and friends, and enjoying the richness of family life. We desire our children to experience the infinite and unconditional love that God has for them and to understand that they are uniquely and wonderfully created in His image.
We wish you the very best as you contemplate this important decision and are hoping you find peace in whichever path you choose. We would feel excited, honored, and overwhelmingly grateful to be chosen as the parents of your child. Our goal would be to make you proud and instill confidence in your choice of us.
Adam & Kelsey
About Us
Our story began in a small community in Minnesota when we matched on a dating website. After talking online for a while, we found we had a lot of similar interests and decided to meet in person. Our first date was Christmas caroling around the community, and we both greatly enjoyed it! It became clear very quickly that we were meant for each other. Life moved quickly, and soon we decided to move in together and have been inseparable ever since.
We both find so much love and trust in each other, and this has kept our relationship strong. Though we work together as coworkers every day, we keep our love alive by doing the little things for each other: a favorite meal, a reminder or message to the other to brighten their day, or a small token to let the other know we are thinking of them. We know we are not a perfect couple by any means, but we constantly and consistently communicate to ensure we are on the same page.
Our Home
In August 2020 we purchased our first home. Since then, we’ve made several enhancements to both the interior of the house and the surrounding yard. The spacious yard provides a great area for children to play, and we have a large garden where we can cultivate plenty of nutritious vegetables! We have two cats: a black and gray Maine coon and an orange tabby. Our feline companions bring immense happiness to our lives. Our community feels like one large neighborhood, with numerous parks and trails just a short walk away from our home. We are always eager to assist our neighbors whenever they require support, even if it’s just helping to rake leaves in their yard. A small act of kindness can have a significant impact.
Our Extended Family
Adam hails from a small family consisting of himself and his identical twin brother. His parents still live in the house where he grew up. Adam’s extended family is also small, with only three cousins combined from both sides. A cherished family tradition is gathering on Christmas Eve to read the Christmas story from the Bible.
On the other hand, Kelsey is the youngest in a family of four, having three older brothers, one of whom sadly passed away due to cancer. Kelsey’s parents still live on the property where she was raised, located about ten minutes away from our current residence. Kelsey’s extended family is quite large, with approximately 20 cousins on each side, most of whom live in our community. They have fun traditions such as a hot dog roast on the Fourth of July and a camping trip over Labor Day.
We have eight nieces and nephews whom we absolutely adore spoiling and taking on adventures. We cherish watching them grow and learn new things. Our families provide great support as we embark on our adoption journey.
What Led Us To Adoption
The expression "opposites attract" perfectly describes our relationship. Adam grew up in the Twin Cities in Minnesota and has a deep passion for sports and music. He values education highly and applies his knowledge to excel in school activities. Adam enjoys spending time outdoors, doing yard work, and having bonfires.
On the other hand, Kelsey grew up on a farm in rural northeast Iowa, where she showed cows, participated in 4-H, was crowned Fair Queen, and was always eager to help others. Kelsey spends much of her time singing, while Adam plays his guitar and joins in with her. We cherish the connection music has created in our relationship and aspire to pass on this love of music to our children. Kelsey sees Adam as incredibly intelligent, caring, and reliable. In turn, Adam views Kelsey as kindhearted, funny, silly, and someone who consistently prioritizes others over herself.
