RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:

Caucasian

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for reading this as you are considering making a difficult decision. I hope you have loved ones supporting you emotionally during your pregnancy, and I wish you all the best!

I feel honored and grateful that you are considering me as an adoptive parent for your baby. I am comfortable with having whichever type of adoption relationship you feel most comfortable with, and it is okay if your preference changes over time. I will respect your decision and be understanding about what level of contact you want to have. I will tell your child as much about you and your family as you wish to share, and I will always speak of you respectfully.

You and I likely share common goals for a child—to be surrounded by loving family and have every opportunity to discover their interests, do fun activities with their friends, enjoy family vacations, and get a great education, including going to college. I am fortunate that I can emotionally and financially provide all this for a child. I have flexible work hours and summers off, which will allow me to spend a lot of time with a child and focus on their development. My biggest goal in life is to provide a safe and loving home for a child and help them lead a happy and fulfilling life. If you choose to entrust me with the responsibility of loving and raising your child, I will be forever grateful.

With love and respect,
Jennifer

About

About Me

Hi! I'm Jennifer, and I appreciate you reading my profile! As a college professor, I teach and mentor students and help them learn the skills they need to be successful. I love my job, and I find helping others to be very rewarding. My family, friends, and students often say that I am caring, responsible, conscientious, and dependable. I go the extra mile to help others and work hard to successfully accomplish goals. I believe in always treating other people with kindness and respect. My favorite everyday activities are exercising, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. On vacations, I love getting together with family and friends who live farther away, visiting national and state parks, hiking in the mountains, and enjoying the beach. I am very grateful to have a loving family, wonderful friends, and a stable career.

Home

My Home

A few years ago, I was able to buy a house in a great neighborhood close to my family. My neighborhood is a large, safe community full of kids, with several playgrounds and pools, frequent neighborhood events, and excellent options for schools. My home has three bedrooms, a nice backyard, plenty of space to live and play downstairs, and a room upstairs that will be a fun playroom. I enjoy walking and jogging on sidewalks throughout the neighborhood and on a popular trail nearby that has beautiful views of the water. I live in the suburbs of a diverse and welcoming city on the East Coast with lots of fun events, parks, libraries, and activities for kids.

Extended Family

My Extended Family

I have a close relationship with my family, and I believe family is an essential part of living a happy life. My parents as well as my brother and sister-in-law and their three-year-old daughter all live in the same city as I do, allowing us to get together frequently. Our favorite things to do together revolve around my niece, who loves going to playgrounds, playing hide-and-go-seek, and finding fun toys to pull out of "Grandma’s bag" that my mom brings for her to play with. My parents are excited about me adopting a child because they know I will be a great mom and because being grandparents brings them such joy.

A longstanding tradition in my family is to play card games and work jigsaw puzzles when we get together for the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, when we often visit my aunt, uncles, cousins, and grandmother. We also enjoy going on walks outdoors and gathering for homemade meals.

I have a great network of friends, and most of them have young kids. We enjoy going out to restaurants and sporting events and getting together at each other’s homes while the kids play together.

Story

What Led Me To Adoption

I have always wanted children, and spending time caring for my niece over the past several years and loving every second with her has deepened my desire to raise a child. I have so much love to give a child, and I am eager to become a parent. Adoption is my first choice for bringing a child into my life. Several of my closest friends were adopted as babies, and I have seen how their families have been blessed by adoption. When I think about how I want to spend the rest of my life, my number one priority is helping a child grow and discover the world and live a happy life.
