Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We know this has to be a confusing and difficult time for you as you consider your options for your precious baby’s future. We can only imagine the emotions you must be feeling as you search for adoptive parents.
We admire the courage and strength it takes to give your baby life. We hope you are not alone on your journey and feel supported.
We want you to know, if you choose us, we will support you and will respect the decisions you make in regard to the future relationship you may have with your child. We promise to provide your child with a loving, accepting, and safe place to call home.
Please know that even though we don’t know you, we are praying for you and your baby while you are on this journey.
We can’t wait to see what a child will add to our lives: excitement, laughter, and millions of memories. We want your child to know where they came from and about the amazing woman who made us their parents. We want to embrace your child into our life and share our love by empowering, encouraging, and supporting them throughout their life. We are nervous and anxious but ultimately excited about bringing a precious baby into our lives.
About Us
Hi! We’re Zach and Holly! We met at work, and our first date was a nice dinner and a movie. When we got to the theater, there was no one there besides us. Holly likes to think that Zach bought out the entire theater just for her. She is an administrative assistant, and Zach is a benefits client manager for a benefits administration company. COVID sent us both home to work, and we have been fortunate to continue to work from home. We went from spending all our time commuting to literally spending every second of every day together. In our free time, Zach likes to golf, and he is the “owner” of numerous fantasy football teams. Holly loves to read and oddly finds it fun to spend her downtime ironing.
Our Home
We live in a small, quiet town in Illinois near the border of Wisconsin. We have a three-bedroom ranch with a fenced-in backyard where our three dogs can run and play. We live within walking distance of both the grade schools and high school. We live within a short walking distance of our town’s downtown area, where there are several small boutique shops and restaurants. There are so many things we look forward to doing with your child, like walking them to and from school, making stops at the playground, and attending the numerous events in the park, such as concerts and the tree lighting at Christmas.
Our Extended Family
Zach’s dad and brother live in our town, and his sister lives about 40 minutes away. His dad splits time between here and a home in Florida, where we visit when the cold of the Midwest becomes too much. We get together at least once a month with his siblings, dad, and aunt and uncle for game night, where things can get competitive. We hope to pass on the love of board games and spending time with each other to your child. Your child will be the first grandchild for Zach’s family, and they are looking forward to rides on the boat and fishing off the pier as well as trips to Disney to meet Mickey and his friends.
Holly’s parents live 45 minutes away, and her sister lives with her family in Texas. Her parents love to come over and play with the dogs, and her mom loves to bring gifts. Usually it is in treat form for the dogs and some holiday décor for the house. Her sister’s children are now adults, so her parents are looking forward to the opportunity to take your child to pumpkin farms and breakfast with Santa and making many new memories.
What Led Us To Adoption
Before we married, we knew having a biological child could be complicated or even impossible. After years of trying with no success, we knew adoption was going to be part of our family’s story. Our families have always shown us that being related by blood does not make you a family. Zach’s family adopted his younger sister, and despite the age difference, they are as close as any siblings could be. We can’t wait to open our home to a child and provide them with the love and support we were shown.
