RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Hispanic, Asian, Caucasian/Hispanic, Caucasian/Asian
Dear Birthmother,
First and foremost, we can’t even imagine how much you’re going through and we deeply admire your strength to do what you feel is the right path. We can however understand how significant this decision is. Please know that we will be committed through the process and praying for you and your baby. If you choose us to be your child's parents, it would be a cherished blessing for us. We promise to nurture your child as our own with unconditional love. We will raise him or her to have good morals, to respect others and most importantly, to always remember to put God first. Cultural awareness instilled a strong foundation in our lives. We will ensure your child’s upbringing will also embrace his or her heritage.
When we learned that fertility issues were going to be a factor in us starting a family, we never lost hope. Even though we were not able to conceive naturally, our decision to adopt came natural for us. Adoption is rooted in our family. Both our grandparents chose to adopt a child. Adoption holds a special place in our hearts and thoughts.
We hope you’re able to sense the love and joy that we'd bring to this adoption journey. As a dedicated and hardworking couple with strong family values, we will do everything in our power to provide your child a life with honesty, positivity, hope, and faith.
About Us
Hi! We’re Glenn and Jackie from southern California. We became friends in high school then a couple when we were 19. Eight years later, in 2007, we tied the knot. We both grew up in the beach cities of LA. We’re blessed to have created a home and life together near all our loved ones. We’re a very down-to-earth couple who share the same interests, beliefs, and goals. Glenn works in software engineering, and Jackie’s a graphic designer with many years in the toy industry and now for automotive and aerospace safety testing. We have hybrid work schedules, allowing more time for our favorites: cooking or going to local restaurants, traveling on annual adventures to the snow or lake, and staying active. You can catch us at sports events, working on house projects, or simply watching our favorite shows and movies.
Our Home
Our home is a three-bedroom with a pool and large yard, in a suburban neighborhood located within a top-rated school district in California. Parks, markets, and restaurants are within walking distance. The beach is very close, and we go year-round, especially for the sunset. We’re also lucky to have Disneyland and Catalina Island as nearby tourist attractions. We are animal lovers with an adventurous dog named Shade, an awesome cat Bailey, and our fun tortoise Happee. Glenn got Happee for Jackie’s 21st birthday, so he’s now over 23 years old! We love taking Shade on lots of dog-friendly trips. She’s a big part of our lives, and we enjoy daily walks around our neighborhood, which has been awarded Tree City USA recognition.
Our Extended Family
We were both born and raised in southern California. When we bought our home, it was important to us to be in good proximity to our families. They’re about a 20-minute drive away, and Glenn’s niece and her family live in our neighborhood. We’re known for having gatherings to bring everyone together to celebrate special occasions plus small get-togethers for pool time, barbecues, and game nights. Glenn’s side of the family is big, with an older brother and sister, three nephews, a niece, three grand-nieces, and a grand-nephew. Jackie has an older brother and one niece. We’re close to our siblings, cousins, and aunts and uncles and are fortunate to have lifelong friends who are also like family. It’s easy for us to host parties because everyone brings good vibes. We also have relatives in the Philippines and Hawaii. It’s always lovely when we can connect with them on vacations or big family events.
Our traditions mainly revolve around the holidays, like family gift exchange games for Christmas. Annual trips are also a tradition of ours, where we visit our favorite mountains or lakes. We hope to own a cabin someday so we can create many more special memories and traditions.
What Led Us To Adoption
We hope to bring a new life into a home filled with love, generosity, kindness, and fun through the miracle of adoption. It has been about ten years of trying to conceive naturally, even with endometriosis infertility issues. Doctors advised it was possible so we had hope, but we believe everything happens for a reason. Through the journey, we learned more about ourselves and what is best for us, and we prayed for God’s guidance. After considering all options to have biological children, we felt adoption was the right path for us. We both have family members who were adopted (Jackie’s father and one of Glenn’s uncles), so we feel a special type of connection and understanding of how impactful and fulfilling adoption is.
