Dear Birthmother,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering adoption. It is hard to put into words how grateful I am that you have considered me to be an adoptive parent to your child. I admire you for having the courage and bravery to make this decision for your child, and I will forever cherish you. Your baby will always know that this decision was born out of love from the both of us. Becoming a mom is something I have prayed for, and I am blessed that this journey has brought you into my life.
Your child’s life will be filled with support, unconditional love, a warm home, and an adoring extended family. I will also honor your baby’s culture and teach them the importance of their own heritage. Growing up, my parents provided me with an amazing childhood that everyone should have the opportunity to experience. Your child will have the same opportunity to receive an excellent education and try any sport or activity that piques their interest. Nothing would bring me greater joy than to be able to share with your child the same love and support I receive from my family.
Your child will be raised to know that your love for them and your selfless decision has made them who they are. About Me
I am an elementary school teacher of fifteen years and currently teach kindergarten. I love my job because I am able to make a difference in my students’ lives every day. I strive to meet all of their needs by providing a loving and nurturing environment for them. I also love to learn about their different backgrounds and cultures. When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking/baking, and taking walks with my dog, Checkers. I also enjoy working out, decorating my home, and finding new healthy recipes to try. On the weekends, I love to spend time with my niece and nephew. We love to read together, play with puzzles and Legos, watch movies, and play at the park. I also spend quite a bit of time with my friends and their families.
My Home
I own a beautiful three-bedroom townhome in a safe suburban neighborhood in Illinois with my dog, Checkers. Checkers loves to take walks, play with his toys, play catch outside with his favorite ball, and cuddle with me on the couch. It is common to find families walking their dogs or playing outside with their children in my neighborhood. Nearby are great schools, many parks, libraries, and pools to enjoy. In my community, there is also a great park district that offers a variety of fun-filled family activities, sports, and classes for children of all ages. My home is also only a train ride away from so many parks, museums, and culturally enriching places to visit.
My Extended Family
My family is extremely close, and we love spending time together! They include my mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law, nephew, niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I also have a close group of friends who are my family too as I am an honorary auntie to their children as well. I had an amazing childhood because of all my great memories. My parents are kind, caring, and extremely supportive. Growing up, they encouraged me to try new things, do my best at school, and never give up. My parents are amazing role models and have shown me what kind of parent I hope to be.
It is a blessing my parents and brother’s family live very close to me and are thrilled to play an active role in your child’s life. Since I was little, my family has celebrated all of the major holidays and birthdays together. We have enjoyed many vacations as a family traveling around the United States, touring national parks and experiencing fun-filled adventures. I look forward to continuing these traditions with your child.
My family and friends are so excited about my plans to adopt a child. Your baby will be adored and loved by a grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and group of incredible friends who are eager to expand our family.
What Led Me To Adoption
I have always dreamed of being a mom since I was a little girl. I imagined I would be married with several children at this point in my life; however, that was not in God’s plan. I now feel that all of the pieces in my life have fallen into place. I have a stable career, a warm and loving home, an amazing support group of family and friends, and so much love to give to a child. I believe this is my time to begin my journey to motherhood, and adoption is the right path for me. Adoption will make my dream of becoming a mom come true, and I am so excited for this journey to begin.
