RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:

Dear Birthmother,

I hope and pray my letter finds you well and at peace in whichever direction this journey takes you. I am humbled by your courageous and loving decision for your baby. I believe there are lots of different kinds of superheroes, and in my eyes, you are a superhero. Words could never completely express my gratitude, joy, and heartfelt thankfulness for your kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love for your child in what I can only imagine to be one of the most difficult decisions for you to make. Thank you for considering me for the blessing and opportunity to grow my family and to love, cherish, and care for him or her as I know you do, with all my heart.

I pray you do not feel alone and that you are comforted and cared for during this time and always. Please know your child will always know of your unconditional love for them if you choose me. Should you choose my family to partner with in raising your child, know that they will be unconditionally loved by me and my entire community of family and friends.

Just as with my son Skyler, I will do my best to raise your child to be strong, kind, loving, faithful, respectful, and always open and willing to learn. Wherever your journey takes you, know that my heart and prayers are with you always.

About

About Me

My name is Elizabeth. I’m a single, strong, hardworking, passionate, kind, fun, loving, and faithful mother of one beautiful, amazing boy named Skyler. He was born of my heart through adoption eleven years ago. I am doing my best to teach him to be kind, grateful, and respectful; to have love for God; and to value education. For many years, I worked as a manager in retail, and I recently started my own online retail business so that I can eventually be free of the daily rat race and have more time with my family. I’m currently an entrepreneur in the service industry, as a solar energy consultant, and in private transportation. One of my favorite things to do is travel the world. I love watching movies and love all kinds of music. I’m the fourth oldest of thirteen siblings and love all that I have learned about life as a result of being part of such a large family.

Home

My Home

Skyler and I live in a nice three-bedroom house with a large yard, both in the front and the back, with plenty of room to play. Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. I’ve lived in Northwest Arkansas for a few years now, and I appreciate the space. Our home is close to the largest park in our area, perfect for riding bikes and other outdoor activities. It’s so beautiful and peaceful here, with lots of greenery, trails, and fresh air. We live in a great school district, and the whole area is very safe.

Extended Family

My Extended Family

In July of 2010, my son, Skyler, was born. I received a call out of the blue asking if I could come pick up my baby boy the next morning! I will never forget that call or the first time I held my first bundle of joy, my blessing, my heart, and my angel. I am now ready to take the adoption journey again, and my son is very much looking forward to being a big brother.

I have a large family made up of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunties, an uncle, and lots of cousins. My good friends are also like family to me and equally excited about the opportunity to support my family as it grows. My mother passed away, but I have a great unofficial adoptive mom, who is looking forward to more grandchildren. My family is full of lots of love and can’t wait to invite another child into our arms.

Story

What Led Me To Adoption

At the age of thirty, I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. Without IVF and an egg donor, my chances of having biological children were extremely slim. This news was heartbreaking because I have wanted to be a mom and have a big family for as long as I can remember. In 2008 I started my first adoption journey. After a failed adoption early on, I was heartbroken but still convinced that I was meant to adopt. I adopted my son, Skyler, in 2010 and have the same certainty in my heart that I am meant to adopt again.
