About Us
Our story began when we met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. In 2013 we had a beautiful wedding surrounded by friends and family. Our journey took us from Iran to North Dakota in pursuit of education. Elina, now a biomedical scientist, has the honor of contributing to the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, while Ryan is a computer engineer. After graduation, we settled in North Carolina, drawing us closer to our friends and family. Elina's smile, kind nature, and sense of humor complement her hardworking ethic. Ryan, equally hardworking and respected, is known for his caring attitude and adventurous spirit. We are both artistic and good cooks, and we are known for our honesty and wit. We share a passion for traveling, exploring other cultures, and trying diverse cuisines! We look forward to sharing our love of nature with our future children and taking them on many adventures.
Our Home
We are blessed to live in a beautiful, spacious four-bedroom, two-story home with an open-concept living area, a large front porch, and a lovely backyard where Ryan tends to a vegetable garden. We also have a garage where we work on our woodworking projects, turning creativity into art!
Our home is located in a safe and charming town in North Carolina. We're surrounded by the beauty of nature, with nearby woods, scenic parks, hiking trails, and lakes that offer plenty of outdoor adventures. We’re also fortunate to have wonderful playgrounds close by, perfect for family fun and exploring the outdoors.
Our Extended Family
Family is very important to us. We both come from big, happy, loving families who gave us fun childhood memories. Elina's sisters live in South Carolina. We regularly visit, spending time with our nieces. With five nieces and nephews on both sides, our gatherings are lively and filled with video games, frisbee, and board games. The joy and excitement on their faces during these moments are truly heartwarming.
We have frequent family get-togethers for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. We enjoy traveling to Michigan to visit Elina’s uncles and Canada to visit both our uncles and their extended families. Both our families love to cook and eat. Every holiday we try new recipes, and there is joy in cooking and baking together. One of our cherished traditions is celebrating the Persian New Year (Nowruz), which is the first day of spring, where we get together and decorate a table with symbols representing strength, love, and patience. Thanksgiving at our uncle’s house is another highlight, with families getting together from across the states. At Christmastime, we love opening gifts with our nieces at Elina’s sister’s place. Our families are so excited for us to adopt. We cannot wait to pass these traditions on.
What Led Us To Adoption
Despite facing unexplained infertility and enduring miscarriages, we remain hopeful and positive and believe whatever is meant for us will come to us. Over the last few years, we have created the lifestyle we've always envisioned. The longer-than-expected journey has only strengthened our bond and clarified our aspirations for a family. We now feel financially and emotionally secure to be focused on our goal of providing the best possible homelife for our future children and being fully present for them. We cherish our moments together and are most excited about the opportunity to share our love with a child.
