Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We can only imagine this must be a very difficult time for you and cannot imagine what you must be going through. We admire you for your strength and willingness to consider an adoption plan. This selfless decision would allow us to complete the family we have been sorely longing for. We can promise you, should you choose us, your child will be surrounded by love, happiness, and opportunity.
We know faith is sometimes hard to have, and we also know life can take us down different paths to events we never expected. We pray this path will hopefully bring us to a wonderful baby waiting for us to snuggle and love. We cannot wait to teach him or her how to read and slip into different worlds with fantasy and adventure, to grow plants in the garden and bird watch with Mom, to play with our dogs in the backyard, to play video games in a computer chair with Dad, and so much more we can imagine doing with a child. We know you have your own story, and if you’re open to it, we would love to merge your story with ours and create something beautiful.

About Us
We met when we were 23. Dan fell in love at first sight, but Jeri, understandably, thought Dan was crazy, and Dan was promptly friend-zoned. After a lot of concerts and time together, Dan finally won Jeri’s heart (just like he predicted he would), and we got married in 2012. We love going on vacations. Jeri’s favorite spot is the beach; Dan’s is the woods. At home, we love bonfires, playing games, and reading. We also love going out with our friends and finding new restaurants to try. You can most likely find Dan on his computer either working or playing games, while Jeri is either tending to her plants or snuggled up reading a book with the dogs. Our workweeks are long, but we like to spend our quality time together with our friends and family.
Our Home
We live in a two-story, open-concept home. There is a large fenced-in backyard and a small playground directly across the street for the neighborhood children. The subdivision is filled with young families with children of all ages. We are in one of the top school districts in the state. We have two dogs and one cat. Nula is a bulldog mix and is the princess of the house; she rules everything. Breunor is a Neapolitan mastiff. He loves to lean on us and follow us around. He may come with a lot of drool, but he has a lot more love. Last but not least is Freyja, our cat. She purrs so hard that she drools over our shoulders while snuggling.
Our Extended Family
Dan’s mother and stepfather live only minutes away. His father, stepmother, and half-sister live in Texas, but we keep in touch with them regularly. Dan has three other sisters; they all live in different states. Great-grandma also lives very close and is anxiously waiting to meet her new great-grandbaby. Grandmama cannot wait to snuggle and spoil her next grandchild, while Buhba can't wait to take nice long walks and adventures. Grandpa can’t wait to meet his new grandchild and teach him or her all the things not to do that Dan did growing up!
Jeri’s mother lives about an hour and a half away, and her father, stepmother, and two half-sisters live about two hours away. She also has another sister who lives out of state. Grandpa can’t wait to spoil and go fishing with someone new, and Grandma is waiting for her first of many hugs. Jeri’s younger sisters can’t wait to babysit.
We also have very close friends who are basically our second family. We spend many holidays and birthdays with them and their three young children, who will be fast friends with our new child.
What Led Us To Adoption
We started our journey over six years ago. We purchased a home with the intention of starting a family but soon faced infertility. We stood by and watched as our friends and family were able to start families of their own while we had no success. We decided adoption was the path meant for us to grow our family, and we are so excited to be here! We were always waiting for the “right” time, trying to make sure everything was perfect before we started our adoption journey, but life found a way to repeatedly get in the way. This past year made us realize we didn’t want to wait any longer to find our missing piece. We cannot wait to share all of the joy and love we have to give.
