Dear Birthmother,
Dear expectant mother,
We hope this letter finds you and the baby doing well. We understand that some people experience strange cravings during pregnancy. We can’t help but wonder if liver and ice cream, or pickles and m&ms are sounding appealing to you right about now? We must admit it feels sort of strange to be writing a letter to a stranger. We don’t really know what to say. We are feeling anxious, and unsure. We want to make a good impression, but mostly we want to be supportive of anyone making the decision to place their baby for adoption. We can’t know what you may be going through or how difficult this time may be for you. We would like for you to know that we think your decision to bring life into this world is truly a blessing. We want to thank you and express our sincere gratitude for your willingness to help people who you don’t know, dreams come true. This adoption process has been very in depth and extremely involved. We know that even though we have spent several months getting to this point we may have many months to go before we are able to share in the joy of a little one taking their first breath. We hope that we can be there for you through this process. We have faith that your choice will be the right one for you and your baby.
Thank you for taking the time to review our profile.
Will and Camille
About Us
We met in 2010 at an Elvis Costello concert, and were married a year later in 2012. We will celebrate 13 years together in September 2025. We are passionate about music and the outdoors. Our home is in the mountains of western North Carolina on 4.5 acres of land. Will loves to cut the grass and sling paint. I enjoy gardening, sewing, and reading. We both love tattoos and street art. Camille is a Director of a Christian preschool and Will works within the government.
We are sensitive loving human beings that are passionate about animals and have 2 dogs at home (Stache and Lucy). We believe in family and have 4 nieces and 1 nephew that we love spending time with. We are both free spirited individuals that believe in treating all people with love and respect.
Our Home
We live in a 3 bed 2 bath 1 story home on 4.5 acres. There are two elementary schools, 1 middle school and a high school, as well as 2 grocery stores, shopping, fire department, post office, restaurants, and Hospital within a 5 mile radius from our home. The blue ridge mountains, several parks, lakes, hiking trails, libraries, and music venues are within a 15 minute drive from our home. There is a vibrant local community and we enjoy the Christmas parade on main street every holiday season. Stache and Lucy have been a part of the family since they were babies. Lucy is a 7 year old mixed breed dog, medium build and 40lbs. She loves to go on walks/runs with Camille. Stache is a full blooded Basset Hound, he weighs 35 lbs. is very cuddly, has a loud bark, and will roll over for a belly rub if you are willing to give one.
Our Extended Family
We have a large extended family. Will has a brother who serves in the United States Military. We get together during the holidays since he travels quite a bit for his job. Will has a close relationship with his cousins and they make sure to get together during family events. Recently we celebrated his Grandmother’s 100th birthday. Camille has two older sisters who she is very close to. She is also very close with her nieces and nephew. Her family also includes aunts, an uncle and 10 first cousins. We enjoy going on vacations with Camille’s sisters and spending time with both sides of the family during the holidays. We go to Camille’s sisters annual Halloween party as well as enjoy attending her nieces soccer games, and recitals. Sadly, we both lost our parents last year.
What Led Us To Adoption
We got married in our early 30’s. We wanted to enjoy the beauty of creating a family. After we tried IUI 3 times and each pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage. We knew God must have something else in store for us. We had felt that we had so much love to give and didn’t want to give up on building a loving family. We became foster parents and enjoyed helping families reunite for 4 years. It was always difficult and painful to let the kids go once their families were in a place to care for them. After the last foster placement we sat down and discussed having a forever child. It was then that we decided to adopt.
