RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
I want to start by saying how much I admire your decision and ability to do what you feel is best for your child. My own journey to motherhood has not been an easy one. Although I may never understand the reason, I feel maybe it is because I was meant to be in your child’s life. Your selflessness and courage could allow me an opportunity that wasn’t otherwise possible for me, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
Although I cannot even begin to imagine the time, thought, and meticulous efforts you have put into this decision, I want you to know I acknowledge them all. I have so much love, time, and energy to pour into your child, and I promise, should you choose me, I will not let you down. I will spend every day of my life creating a loving, supportive, fun-filled atmosphere where your baby will grow up with everything they will need. Your selflessness and courage will be celebrated.
I will remind myself every day how lucky I am that you chose me. I will be your child’s biggest cheerleader, will support their dreams, and will encourage them to be passionate about the things they love. This child will be the center of my world, and I will make sure they feel that every day of their life. Thank you for the opportunity to even be considered for the most important role of my life.
About Me
My name is Ariah, and it’s my pleasure to meet you. While I wish it could be in person, you’ll have to get to know me on paper. Some words that I would use to describe myself are caring, creative, optimistic, fun-loving, outgoing, hard working, goal oriented, and altogether happy! I’m also a real foodie and love to try both new recipes and new restaurants. I enjoy anything outside and frequently hike, walk dogs, ride bikes, go to the beach, and play/coach volleyball. I also love to volunteer as much as I am able as it gives me purpose to help people and animals. I obtained a degree in fine arts, and while I still enjoy producing artwork, my career is in property management.
My Home
I found a diamond in the rough. I live in a very desirable neighborhood that is close to the beach, state parks, shopping, restaurants, etc. My house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an entire acre of fenced-in backyard for kids and dogs to play in. I have the neighbors most people dream of. We help each other move furniture, call when we need help, babysit/pet sit, and genuinely enjoy each other’s company. The school district is great, as are nearby colleges. I recently adopted my dog Rascal after my elderly neighbor passed away and I couldn’t stand the thought of him going to a shelter. He joins my two rescue cats, Prince Harry and The Dutchess.
My Extended Family
I grew up in a working-class family in a close-knit farm community where it was not unusual to milk a cow, ride a horse, feed a pig, or chase runaway chickens. My work ethic and desire to help my community stems from growing up where I did. I am the oldest of three daughters. My sisters and I are very close and talk daily. I have 25 first cousins, 30+ second cousins, and many more extended family members. As you can imagine, holidays are an event!
My parents own a restaurant that has been in our family for over 46 years. My sister’s have four boys and one girl between the two of them. I am desperately wanting to add more nieces and/or nephews to the count and celebrating milestones for them at the restaurant as well.
My parents have been my role models, and as they grow older, it becomes even more important for me to build my family. I want my children to get to know and experience the two most amazing, influential people in my life for as many years as possible.
What Led Me To Adoption
The fighter inside me decided to put my efforts into finding another way to fulfill my dreams of being a mother. Unfortunately, I have endured several years of unsuccessful fertility treatments and needed to redirect. I know several people who were adopted themselves or have adopted, and the discussions I had with them were very enlightening. They have all inspired me to move forward with adoption, and I have not looked back. If you would have told me years ago when I started this journey that I would be here, I might have had a hard time imagining it. However, fast forward to today and I can feel a baby in my arms, and it feels the same as any baby I would have had myself.
