Dear Birthmother,

We do not even know where to begin! Your selfless sacrifice is something that is truly admirable and something to be exceedingly proud of. When we began this journey, we didn’t really know how emotional it could get, and wow, were we surprised. Words cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are that you are considering us to be guardians of your baby. We are completely aware of the feeling of loss and grief you may be experiencing.

We hope you know you are not alone. We believe something that sets us apart from others is that we are completely open to having a relationship with you. We want to give you the opportunity to set boundaries and be involved in your baby’s life, if that is what you choose.

We know that words can only go so far but can promise you we will give endless hugs and love, support them, pray with them, honor their passions (whatever they may be), and ensure they get the best education and have the best life we can possibly give them. The most important thing we want you to know is that by making an adoption plan for your child, you are creating a family. No matter what anyone says, you did not give up or take the easy way out. You thought from the bottom of your heart about how to give your child the best possible life. Always know you are supported and loved, even if just by us. Your bravery and selflessness will always be valued.
