Dear Birthmother,
Dear Expectant Mother,
We understand that this may be one of the most difficult and important decisions you will have to make in your life. We cannot say that we understand the circumstances surrounding your consideration; however, we are grateful to you. We are honored that you have considered us.
We tried to conceive for years. It was heartbreaking to think that we would never become parents, but one day that all changed. We looked at each other and realized we have so much love to give to a child. We love our nieces and nephews so much, but that is not the same as raising a child in our home. We began to look into adoption, and everything seemed to fall into place. Tyshee was not raised by her biological parents, which gives her a unique perspective to share with the child. We are not naive to the challenges ahead, but we feel like we are well equipped.
We can’t make a promise to be perfect, but we promise to show your baby all the love in the world! They will know how much you love them. Our hearts are open and full of gratitude. We are looking forward to getting to know you.
Our Home
We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors. We are a part of our neighborhood planning committee that puts on an annual Fourth of July block party. To raise money, we put on activities throughout the year. We feel it is important that everyone in attendance can enjoy the block party at no charge. We love animals! We have a dog named Sebastian and seven cats (long story). We rescued a mom and surprise kittens. Chili was adopted in 2015. The others are Smokey, Cocoa, Zoro, Luffy, Buttercup, and Skye. They brighten up our lives!
Our Extended Family
Tyshee has one brother and three sisters. William has three brothers and two sisters. Our siblings live in different parts of the country. We only get to see each other once or twice a year during the holidays. We have our main holiday gathering during Thanksgiving since we all live in different states. We exchange Christmas presents at that time. William is from Mississippi, and his mother resides there. Our families are fun, and we always have a good time when we are around them.
We consider our friends our family as well. They have been a strong support for us in our journey to parenthood. Their prayers and love have meant the world to us. Since we don’t mind traveling, we try to support their children’s moments whenever we can. We have learned that any relationship worth having is worth the effort.
