Stephanie & Corey
RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Dear Expectant Mother,
We are so happy you are taking the time to get to know a little bit about us! This is a grateful journey we are taking with great respect for you as a birth parent. Being parents is not something we take lightly. We appreciate you considering an adoption plan. Should you choose us, we want you to know that we would always make sure your child knows he or she has brave and loving birth parents. Your child will be safe, happy, provided for, and well loved by two parents, an older brother, and dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and friends.
We met later in life and have created a happy, loving home. We are down to earth, witty, and easygoing, and those shared qualities drew us together. We dated for two years before we married in a private ceremony with just Corey’s son, Jesse, in a haunted saloon outside Las Vegas. Life is never boring with us! Jesse is a wonderful kid, a junior in high school who loves sci-fi. We do everything in our power to give him a happy life full of opportunity. Corey works in a hospital as a biomedical technician, and Stephanie works for a large company from home. On weekends, we enjoy loading up our dog and finding a good hiking trail. We enjoy playing in our pool during the summer months, and we love to travel! Our family trips have included Universal Studios, California, Nevada to see Area 51, and Disney World.
We are within an hour of all of our family members, and our town is full of local charm and rich culture. Our town was voted one of the Most Beautiful Small Towns in America. Our neighborhood has a whole host of kids on our street, and sometimes they like to come to our house and play with our dog. Our street is on a quiet cul-de-sac. Our dog and cat bring us a lot of joy! Our dog, Cherry, is two years old and a sweet, gentle girl. We chose Cherry because she was the most gentle with our cat and with everyone she meets! Our cat Charlie is older and was with Stephanie for many years before she met Corey.
Our Extended Family
Stephanie’s family is big and blended, with her parents and stepparents, many step-siblings, and nieces and nephews! We spend a lot of time with them on the family farm, swimming in our pool, having dance parties, and just being together. One of her sisters lives in California, and trips out west to visit have been a big adventure! Other than that sister, the rest of our families all live within an hour from us, and we see them often.
Corey’s family is very small, with his mother and brother being the family members he sees most often. They are supportive of us and look forward to enjoying a new family member as much as they enjoy and love Jesse!
What Led Us To Adoption
Stephanie has wanted to be a mother for as long as she can remember. While Corey has a biological son, Jesse (17), from his first marriage, we are eager to build a family together. We have chosen adoption to complete our family as we are unable to have biological children of our own, even after seeing multiple fertility specialists. Stephanie’s cousin adopted a wonderful little boy about six years ago, and she has seen firsthand what joy adoption can bring to an entire family.
