Dear Birthmother,
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest admiration for the incredible strength and courage you've shown during this difficult time. We can only imagine the weight of the decision you are facing, and we want you to know we are here to support you as best we can. Your selflessness in considering adoption for your child is both humbling and inspiring, and we are filled with gratitude for the love and care you are already showing to your little one.
As we navigate this journey of adoption, our hearts are overflowing with a mixture of emotions: anticipation, excitement, and a huge sense of responsibility. We feel very blessed to have the opportunity to become parents through adoption, and we are committed to providing a loving and nurturing home for your precious child. The thought of welcoming your baby into our lives fills us with overwhelming joy, and we promise to cherish every moment, honoring this gift with the gratitude it deserves.
Please know as we embark on this journey together, while we may feel scared at times, our hearts are open and our arms are ready to embrace your child with boundless love, remembering that God = LOVE. We are eternally grateful for the opportunity to be considered as adoptive parents, and we pledge to honor your decision with the utmost respect and care.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Owen & Rebecca
Our Home
We live in a four-bedroom home with three full bathrooms, in a quiet subdivision. We have a large yard with a lot of pine trees and great neighbors. Our town is a small town with an excellent school district. We live close to the house Owen grew up in and where his parents still live. We have a small dog who is very old but sweet, and he loves meeting new people! We both work within five miles of our home in the same town where we live. Our town is golf-cart friendly, so we drive ours around on the weekends to the local parks and to attend the numerous festivities our town offers monthly.
Our Extended Family
Our families are just like us—total opposites! Rebecca’s family lives in different places, while Owen’s parents are about an hour away from us and still live in the same house where he grew up. His aunts and three of his cousins also live close to us.
We spend every Christmas and Easter with Owen’s family, and for Thanksgiving, we go to Rebecca’s mom and stepdad’s in Florida. Unfortunately, Rebecca lost her father in July 2020. He was one of ten siblings, so Rebecca has too many cousins to count; fourteen of them all keep in touch via a group text and visit each other often.
Owen has one older brother and Rebecca has two older siblings, a brother and a sister. Our siblings are married with children. Owen’s brother lives in West Virginia with his wife and child. They visit every summer, and they rotate coming down for Christmas and Thanksgiving each year. Rebecca’s siblings both live in Ohio; her brother has two children, and her sister has three. We visit them at least once a year. Owen grew up racing cars with his dad. We love our racing family, and they are a part of our lives outside of racing.
