RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for taking the time to read about our family and considering us as parents. We admire the strength and courage you have to consider adoption and this life-changing decision.
Steve is the youngest of five, and Paula is the oldest of two. A third child welcomed into our family will be surrounded by love, encouragement, creativity, and so many adventures. They will have two older siblings to look up to. Adoption has been in our life plan together, and we are hopeful.
We are goofy and quirky and not at all perfect, but we can promise you your child will be loved, cherished, and surrounded with love from parents, grandparents, cousins, and so many extended family members who will always be there for them. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us to be your baby’s adoptive parents. We are open to whatever relationship you foresee with you and your child. We plan on sharing your story of the selfless love you have for your child from day one, and we welcome you to watch your baby flourish. This love we have for your baby extends to you and will always be there in whatever relationship you seek with us. We hold you close to our hearts as you make this difficult decision and pray you find comfort and peace as you navigate the coming months. You can reach out to us at any time with questions or if you ever need to talk.
Our Home
We live in a newly constructed community with many growing families. Our neighborhood is multicultural and suburban with excellent schools. We are a short drive away from many national, state, and regional parks where we enjoy bicycling, hiking, camping, and walking our dog, Bella, a very friendly hound-ridgeback mix who loves to play fetch and chase squirrels. She is a 50-pound cuddler who thinks she is a lap dog!
Our Extended Family
We have very close-knit families on both sides. Steve’s family resides in New York and Florida. Paula’s family is spread out between Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, and Maryland. If we can’t see each other in person, we have daily and weekly phone calls and FaceTime.
When we visit Steve’s side of the family, it is usually spent outdoors camping, hiking, fishing, and boating. We love spending as much time as possible outside with nature! When we visit Paula’s side of the family, the time is usually spent cooking, having family picnics, going to the zoo or aquarium, and celebrating special moments with the kids. We travel to visit family as much as possible and share photos regularly. We’ve enjoyed many summer vacations and numerous holiday celebrations with both sides of our family. Our family comes to see us often too. When we cannot be with family, we have many friends and neighbors to have festive gatherings with, and we often celebrate our kids’ birthdays and holidays (like the Fourth of July, St. Patrick’s Day, etc.) together.
