RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
Your consideration of adoption is truly an act of selflessness. Choosing a family to raise your child is one of the most important decisions you will make, and we are incredibly humbled. Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and for considering us to raise your child.
Although life provides a lot of unknowns, there are also a few things we can promise to give your child. We promise to love and cherish your child all the days of their lives. We promise to rock them to sleep and read them bedtime stories for years to come. We promise to kiss the bumps and bruises when needed. We promise to let them eat way too much cake on their birthdays. We promise to play with them. We promise to let them sit on our laps going down the slide until they are ready to do so on their own. We promise to bend down and push the tricycle up and down the sidewalk until they are able to pedal on their own. We promise to teach them how to be kind and respectful. We promise to let them have a voice of their own. We promise to learn about and take part in their interests. We promise to truly love your child unconditionally. Most of all, we promise to tell them where they came from and how grateful we are to the mother who gave us the gift of becoming a family.
Our Home
We live in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. The houses have a lot of individual character. We are blessed to live on an acreage in town, at the end of a cul-de-sac. This makes it perfect for our boys to play on our playset, ride bikes on the driveway, and play with toys in the yard. The yard is perfect for kicking a soccer ball around, picnics, or Easter egg hunts. We have three cats: Strider, Moggie, and Robin. Robin is extremely playful. He and the boys play together all the time. He is so gentle and patient with them. Moggie is a shy cat and will only come out once she gets to know you, and Strider likes to relax all the time.
Our Extended Family
Nyla has two brothers and a niece. Her mom and dad are no longer married, but they get along really well, and we are still able to have holidays and family get-togethers as one family. This is something we really appreciate, especially as we have started to have a family. Her grandmother is almost 98 and still living on her own and hosting the holidays!
Moses grew up in Kenya, Africa. His mother, father, sister, brother, three nieces, and two nephews live there. He also has a brother, niece, and nephew here in Iowa. We travel to Kenya at least once a year. We travel around the country with his family while we are there as well as spend time relaxing and laughing (lots of laughing) in their homes. Ellis absolutely loves getting to play with his cousins every year! Enzo made his debut trip in the fall of 2024 and was adored by everyone! We’re excited for the years to come, when he’s walking and can keep up with all the big kids. Family trips to Kenya are something we really look forward to every year!
