Jeremy & Alida
RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
We know this is a difficult and challenging time for you. The emotion you are feeling must be strong. We are truly honored and humbled you would consider us for the important job of cherishing, loving, and raising your child. As we have hoped and prayed for another child to love and bring joy to our lives, we hope you take comfort in the love and joy we are blessed to provide.
In our small town life, a child would experience farming firsthand by raising animals, riding in tractors, and having fun on ATVs. They would be a part of a loving family and community that cherishes their input and their growth. In a small school district, your child would have the opportunity to flourish in all the activities they choose academically, athletically, and creatively. In our home, we hope a child will feel loved and important. A big sister awaits to share in the love of this family. She is so excited to have a baby brother or sister to take care of and play with.
We are excited to bring another child into our home and share the amazing craziness of our family as well as the love, laughter, and closeness.
We are Jeremy and Alida! We have been married for eight years and have a four-year-old daughter, Nichol. Jeremy is an engineer and Manager of Business Systems for his company. He is very determined, caring, and hard working. Jeremy enjoys building, athletics, and solving problems. Alida is a preschool teacher. She is compassionate, loving, and sympathetic. Alida enjoys reading, sewing, and physical fitness. Being from a small farming community, we live a low-key life. On weeknights, we enjoy playing in the yard, watching movies, playing games, or taking a ranger ride. On weekends, we spend time playing cards with family, working on the farm, and just enjoying being together. Our life is highly infused with family get-togethers and activities. We are so excited to grow our family and share our small town and family life.
Our home is located on the outskirts of a small farming town and sits comfortably on an acre and a half of land. Surrounded by a hay field, we are afforded a sufficient amount of privacy on our property. We have a comfortable home with a fully finished basement that gives us a second living and play space. Our favorite thing about our home is the spacious yard that allows room for playing ball, running with our two Labradors, growing a plentiful garden, and riding bikes and ATVs. Our community comes together to celebrate the small things in life and the accomplishments of the local high school and to support the local fire department, American Legion, churches, and youth sports.
Our Extended Family
Family is a huge part of our lives. Jeremy’s parents still live in the house he grew up in, in the next town over. He has one sister, who is married with two children. Jeremy comes from a rambunctious and jovial extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Alida’s parents live on the same farm she grew up on just outside our small town. She has an older brother who is married with three children whom we see daily; her younger brother passed away. Alida comes from a close-knit extended family with an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Our families have been waiting for us to continue to grow our family and are excited by our choice to adopt.
We love any time with our family but especially Christmas. Our favorite celebration with extended family is the Fourth of July, where we have a big weekend-long celebration that includes lots of food, a parade, yard games, swimming, fireworks, and plenty of family time. We cannot wait to share these celebrations with another little one running around and enjoying the spoils of our amazing extended family.
What Led Us To Adoption
When we got married eight years ago, we were ready to start our family since having multiple children has always been the plan for us. Unfortunately, that is not how life has worked out. After struggling to get pregnant, we were extremely blessed to bring a beautiful daughter into this world. We started thinking about adoption before our pregnancy and have always had the idea in the back of our minds. Adoption keeps coming to the front of our minds as we talk about and think about growing our family. We would love for our daughter to have a playmate and built-in friend.
