How can we begin to express our admiration for you? The decision you are considering is a life-changing one for you, your child, and the fortunate people you choose to become the parents of your baby. We can only imagine how much strength, courage, and unconditional love is involved in making this decision.

About Us
Hi there! Thank you for learning about us—there’s so much we’d like to tell you. Here’s a little about us: We met in Alabama during our Air Force officer training schooling and instantly became friends. We later worked together in Germany. Before we knew it, we fell totally in love. After a long-distance relationship—which included two deployments—we married and moved to Virginia. A year and a half ago, we adopted our darling daughter, Sofia. Nick is still an attorney in the Air Force, and Chelsea works as a civilian government attorney. We love traveling together and experiencing different cultures (and food—we love going on food tours!). At home, we enjoy spending quality time with Sofia, reading, and playing games together, including playing ball outside and coloring (one of Sofia’s favorite activities). We also enjoy cooking, watching movies, going to sporting and community events, and just having fun together.
Our Home
We live in a home located in a very nice, family-oriented neighborhood in Virginia. We have five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and two dedicated playrooms! We also have kind neighbors and live in a community that supports one another. Because we’re close to Washington, D.C., we love to go into the city for various events and visit the museums. We’re close to a number of hiking, walking, and biking trails too. We have two pets: Apollo, who is a large, playful, mischievous cat, and Percy, who is a fluffy, bouncy sheepadoodle. Apollo and Percy are both very sweet, cuddly, and loving and have great personalities! Apollo and Percy are so good around kids, and Sofia (our toddler) loves them so much.
Our Extended Family
We both come from very large families, where everyone is welcoming and loving. Nick has an older half-brother and half-sister and two younger brothers. Chelsea has two younger brothers and a younger sister. We are both very close with our families and visit frequently, especially Chelsea’s family because they live about thirty minutes away from us. Nick’s brother’s family also lives within an hour of us, so we see them often. We always spend holidays with one of our families.
There are also lots of young children on Nick’s side of the family, so Sofia is surrounded by cousins who are all around her age or younger. Chelsea’s brother and his wife also just had a baby, so there are plenty of young cousins for Sofia and any new sibling to grow up with!
Chelsea has a very large and tight-knit extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who get together for all of the big family/life events, including every Thanksgiving at Chelsea’s mom’s house and July 4th at her aunt’s house. When we host holidays and get-togethers, many of Chelsea’s extended family members join. We also go on vacations with both sides of the family. Because Chelsea’s father is from Greece and still has family there, the family often visits Greece together for vacation.
What Led Us To Adoption
We knew even before we were married that adoption was something God was calling us to do. Chelsea has two incredible adopted siblings and an adopted aunt and uncle, so adoption is very familiar to us. Soon after we were married, we realized we faced infertility and experienced a loss. We knew from the bottom of our hearts we both deeply wanted to expand our family and that adoption was right for us. We were so blessed to adopt our daughter, Sofia, as a newborn and would like to continue to grow our family.
