Dear Birthmother,

I can’t even begin to imagine all the emotions you are feeling. I can tell you that you are brave and strong in the tough decision you are making for you and your child. Your child is a gift of life, and I am so thankful you are considering me to raise your baby.

I can promise you I will love your baby and keep him or her healthy and safe. I promise to give your baby the best life, full of adventure and laughter, wonder and love, and structure and grace. I will do what I can so he or she will grow up to be successful in life. Thank you for considering allowing my son to take on the role of a big brother to always watch over him or her, to teach him or her right from wrong, and of course to get in trouble with from time to time.

We look forward to seeing the world through the eyes of a little one and spending weekends together having fun with friends and family, playing games, doing art and science projects, and traveling.

About Me

I have been a teacher for the last 13 years and have taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grade. I’m the “fun” teacher. I’m one who plays with the kids during recess, comes up with crazy science experiments, and plans adventurous field trips. My teaching doesn’t stop in the classroom. My son loves art projects and science experiments, and we do them often. We also love books of all kinds. I read to my son often, but I make sure to read a story or two every night before bed, even while on vacation. Yes, we bring books on vacation. I’m lucky enough to have summers and holidays off to spend extra time with friends and family and to travel. I’m looking forward to learning what interests your baby and to inspire him or her to follow their dream. I’m excited to explore the world with your baby.

My Home

We live in our dream home. When I purchased my home seven years ago, I could envision children running up and down the stairs and in and out of all four bedrooms and playing in the fenced-in backyard. We live in an area with miles of paths, several parks, and a splash pad. We have a swing set in the backyard and a bouncy house in the finished basement. We also live very close to my dad and sister. We can take the walking path to their house. My dad has a pool we enjoy in the summer. I’m excited to take walks around our friendly neighborhood with your baby and to teach him or her how to swim. Our dog, Gracie, was adopted from a shelter where we volunteer.

Extended Family

My Extended Family

I have an amazing support system. They are very excited to welcome a new baby to our family. My dad and sister, along with my aunts, uncles, and cousins, are very close to us. We get together and celebrate all holidays and birthdays together. My extended family is growing, so there are many young children running around. One tradition we look forward to every year is cutting down our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. Every Christmas since I was little, my dad dresses up like Santa. All the kids just love it, especially since he brings presents! I’m looking forward to sharing these traditions and more with your baby.

I have two best friends who are also like my family. We have been friends since I was 15 years old. One has three adult children with kids of their own and three adopted children under the age of ten. They are my son’s best friends as well. My other friend is married, and they help celebrate holidays and birthdays; we also take mini vacations together. They are so happy for me and can't wait for me to bring home a baby to share all these experiences with.

What Led Me To Adoption

I believe adoption is a beautiful thing. I have been a foster mom for the last six years, and I have helped raise five beautiful babies and children. My son was placed with me in 2016 when he was four months old. I was able to adopt him in March 2020. His mother and father signed their rights over to me when they knew it was time. I would love to parent another child, and my son would love to be a big brother again. He wants to bring home every baby he sees. I believe it is our time to grow our family to three, and my son is ready to protect his younger sibling from monsters under the bed.
