RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:

Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, Caucasian/Hispanic, Caucasian/Asian, Caucasian/African American, African American, African American/Hispanic

Dear Birthmother,

Dear Expectant Mother,

Even though we have not met you yet, we already know you are a brave and selfless person for considering this option for your child. We can only imagine the emotions you are feeling during this process, and we want you to know we admire you.

If chosen, we promise to create an adoption plan that works best for you and your child, love your child unconditionally, treat your child with respect, and understand that it is our responsibility to patiently teach and model behavior that allows them to thrive and be a good person.

We can offer your child a loving and stable home where they will be encouraged to learn, play, create, imagine, and wonder. We will expose your child to books, music, art, nature, and animals. There will be nightly bedtime stories, trips to the zoo, fort building in the living room, drawing lessons, playground adventures, silly holiday traditions, and scavenger hunts. We know parenthood will not always be easy, but we are fully committed and ready to be parents. Not only will your child receive love from us but they will have amazing aunts and uncles, very excited grandparents, and a group of fun friends who will enrich their life to the fullest.

As you make this decision, know that we are here for you. We will be forever grateful and will honor you in conveying your child’s adoption story in a positive light. Thank you for considering us for this life-changing opportunity.

About

About Us

At Brittney’s 21st birthday party, a mutual friend brought Jon over to meet her. We felt an instant connection with one another, and from that night on, we knew we were a perfect match. We were married a few years later and continue to share many of the same interests, such as art, literature, music, and gardening. Jon creates exhibits for children at a nature museum, and Brittney teaches English at a community college. Jon frequently shows paintings and drawings in galleries, and Brittney recently had a collection of poetry published. On the weekends, when we are not out with our family and friends, we enjoy spending time with our three cats and family of wild deer, cooking dinner together, laughing at a movie or TV show, curling up with a good book, or doing house projects.

Home

Our Home

We live in a unique, geodesic dome house. It has triangle skylights that show the trees, clouds, and stars above. There is an amazing sunroom that functions as a mini greenhouse for plants and is a great napping spot for our indoor cat, Sweetie Legs. Even though we live in the city, our neighborhood is quiet and family friendly. Our house is walking distance to a lake with several parks nearby. It is set back from the street with a long driveway surrounded by three-quarters of an acre of trees and a flower garden, where our two outdoor cats (LMNOP and Olive Primrose) dwell with deer, rabbits, hummingbirds, owls, turtles, and lizards. We think a child would love growing up surrounded by nature, artwork, books, and animals.

Extended Family Extended Family

Our Extended Family

Jon’s dad is a retired elementary school principal, and he can’t go anywhere in his hometown without an old student wanting to come up and give him a hug. His mom is a retired reading teacher who would give anything to help someone in need. Jon grew up with sisters making funny family videos and speaking in made up languages. His dad coached his sports teams, and his mom taught him how to cook.

Brittney grew up the youngest of four brothers and one sister. She spent her childhood playing teacher and librarian, making her siblings take tests and charging late fines for overdue books. Brittney and her mother were the best of friends, and her father was a strong provider for their family. Her parents always encouraged her and her siblings to be free thinkers and explore their talents and interests.

Holidays and birthdays are always full of delicious food, games, and laughs. Jon’s family has a long tradition of Thanksgiving-themed costumes, while Brittney’s family has Easter potato sack races and holiday-themed pictionary.

Story

What Led Us To Adoption

We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to adopt! We are unable to have biological children due to endometriosis, but we both share a deep desire to love and nurture a child. Adoption can make our dream of having a family come true. We have both been blessed to have caring parents, close siblings, and inspiring teachers in our lives, and we feel called to share that love, knowledge, and wisdom. We have a secure marriage, strong faith, stable careers, and a warm home.
