RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
As a couple who has experienced multiple losses and values empathy, we thought writing this letter would come easily. But the truth is, it has been incredibly difficult, far more than we anticipated. We cannot fully imagine the depth of pain and complexity in your journey, but we want to honor it. Please know that we hold nothing but admiration and profound gratitude for you. We also want to share our deep commitment to love and care for your precious baby unconditionally. We dream of the day we can gently cuddle a child in our arms, tuck them into bed with warmth, and read stories that celebrate how deeply they are loved and how truly special they are. We have been waiting for this child with open hearts and have so much love already reserved just for them. Words feel inadequate to express the depth of our longing to become parents. For years, we have felt a void in our hearts, and your gift of life will make us whole. We are perfectly imperfect and flawed, yes, but in ways that make us real, relatable, and full of love. Together, we offer a rich tapestry of experiences, culture, and individuality. We are ready to provide not only a nurturing home but also one filled with warmth, belonging, and boundless love. We hope you see the sincerity of our hearts and choose to bless us with this extraordinary, life-changing opportunity. It would be our greatest honor and our most treasured gift.
Our Home
We balance the vibrancy of city life with the serenity of the Caribbean. Our apartment, located in Northern Virginia, offers quick access to the airport, walkable amenities like restaurants, parks, and top-tier schools. We are close to many recognized historic sites, which are especially magical during the holidays. We also own a home in Puerto Rico, nestled between beaches, mountains, and farmland, where cows outnumber people! It is near schools, hospitals, and family, and serves as a hub for our large, tight-knit community. As lifelong animal lovers, we share our lives with a 15-year-old cat who has traveled the world with us thanks to Jesus's profession. She is especially fond of kids, and we know she will embrace a new baby when the time comes.
Our Extended Family
Our upbringing in supportive families has shaped our character, values, and personal paths in life. Our large, yet close-knit, families played a pivotal role during our formative years. Our grandparents serve as the foundation of our extended families. Every weekend and holiday was an opportunity to gather around the table and enjoy our company. Even during challenging times, we learned to unite and rely on each other's love and support. They taught us proper behavior by setting examples and explaining ethics, principles, and rules. Our paternal grandfathers and fathers were farmers, and through them, we learned to admire, respect, and protect nature. From our mothers and grandmothers, who devoted themselves to caring for us, we inherited the values of compassion, empathy, and service to others. Through dedication and sacrifice, we became the first generation in our respective families to graduate from college. Today, our families remain a steady source of influence, strength, and unwavering support. We have a godson who lives in Florida and is thrilled about becoming a "big brother," expressing his intention to teach our child baseball and soccer. His parents have been supportive throughout this process, and both have adoptive family members of their own.
