Dear Birthmother,
First, thank you so much for taking the time to review our life; we are so thankful to even be considered as the adoptive parents of your child. One can only imagine the wave of emotions you are experiencing as you consider adoption.
If you choose to be part of our story, we will respect what you want that to look like. We would be forever grateful for such an amazing gift of a child, something we both have been dreaming about since we were children.
There aren't enough words to express how much unconditional love your child will receive from us and our extended family, experiencing every passing day of how strong our family bond is. We plan to support your child by knowing where they came from as they grow and learn who they are as a person.
In our home, you, our birth mother, would be spoken of with the utmost respect, love, and gratitude.
No matter what you decide, we wish you the very best in your journey.
Love,
Scott and Abbey
Our Home
We currently live in a cozy two-bedroom home by a lake that offers great amenities to families. Our favorite is the community pools and walking trails for Stella. We are in a safe area with great schools and a cute downtown. Scott's mom, dad, step mom, and 2 of his brothers live within 10-20 minutes of us.
We decorate for all holidays, especially Christmas. Scott tends to go over the top in decorations and, as you may have noticed in our photos, he has lots of festive shirts to celebrate! One tradition we have started together is cutting down a fresh tree from a Christmas tree farm. We can't wait to share this experience with our new little one.
Our Extended Family
We are very lucky to have such an amazing extended family along with friends who are considered family. We are all a great support system for each other. Abbey and Scott adopting a child will be the first grandchild for both sides. Everyone is beyond excited to see who the new addition will be.
Our close friends have kids, and we cherish being Auntie Abbey and Uncle Scott to them.
Scott is the 3rd of 5 siblings. Growing up, the kids always looked forward to family movie night every Saturday night. Scott and his 2 older brothers were also in Boy Scouts and would often go tent camping to National Parks with their mom. We look forward to continuing this tradition.
Abbey has a younger sister, cousin, and both parents who live out of state, but they chat often and visit whenever possible. Abbey's family has a summer cottage by the ocean, so everyone coordinates schedules for beach days and seafood feasts together.
Abbey's family tradition every Christmas morning is making monkey bread to enjoy while opening presents. The only difference now is Abbey is in charge of making it.
